AUsiminas informou, no final da tarde desta quinta-feira (17), por meio de Fato Relevante divulgado ao mercado, que o Conselho de Administração aprovou a venda do edifício-sede da empresa, em Belo Horizonte, para a Fundação São Francisco Xavier (FSFX). O local será adaptado para receber mais uma moderna e bem equipada unidade hospitalar da FSFX.

Instituída pela Usiminas em 1969, a FSFX é o braço social de atuação da empresa nas áreas de saúde e educação. A fundação administra atualmente os hospitais Márcio Cunha I e II de Ipatinga; o Hospital de Cubatão, na Baixada Santista; o Hospital Carlos Chagas, de Itabira e o Hospital Vital Brazil, de Timóteo. Todas unidades hospitalares são referência em várias especialidades nas suas regiões de atuação e têm mais de 70% dos seus atendimentos dedicados à pacientes do SUS.

CERTIFICAÇÕES

Além de diversas certificações e premiações, inclusive em nível internacional, que atestam a excelência dos serviços oferecidos na área de Saúde pela FSFX, três de seus hospitais foram os únicos do país destacados pela International Hospital Federation (IHF) pela atuação no enfrentamento à pandemia da Covid-19. Receberam a certificação “Beyond Call of Duty for Covid-19” (Além do Dever para a Covid-19), na última quarta-feira (16/12), as unidades hospitalares de Ipatinga, Itabira e Cubatão.

O imóvel negociado será utilizado pela FSFX para ampliação de sua rede hospitalar, fortalecendo sua atuação no Estado de Minas Gerais e no país. Detalhes sobre a nova sede da Usiminas serão informados posteriormente pela companhia.

Usiminas: Alto-Forno 2 retoma produção em Ipatinga

AUsiminas anunciou nesta quinta-feira (17), o reinício das operações do Alto-Forno 2 da Usina de Ipatinga. A decisão foi aprovada pelo Conselho de Administração da companhia e a previsão é de um investimento de R$ 67 milhões, destinados à manutenção do equipamento. A expectativa é que o forno volte a produzir em junho de 2021.

O Alto-Forno 2 tem capacidade de produzir cerca de 2 mil toneladas diárias de ferro gusa e estava paralisado desde o mês de abril, em razão da pandemia de Covid-19. Com a volta do forno, último equipamento ainda não retomado, a Usina de Ipatinga voltará operar a plena carga na produção de ferro gusa.

RETOMADA DO CRESCIMENTO

Segundo o presidente da Usiminas, Sergio Leite, a decisão leva em conta a retomada econômica do país. “A medida é mais uma ação da companhia visando o melhor atendimento aos nossos clientes locais. Nos últimos meses, temos realizado quase a totalidade das nossas vendas no mercado nacional e trabalhado de forma a contribuir para o avanço da indústria e pela volta do crescimento do Brasil”.

Em agosto, a Usiminas já havia retomado a operação do alto-forno 1 da mesma usina, também paralisado temporariamente em razão da crise de demanda causada pela pandemia da Covid-19. Na ocasião, a companhia recebeu o Presidente da República, Jair Bolsonaro, e o governador de Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, para uma cerimônia marcando, simbolicamente, a retomada do crescimento econômico do Brasil após o período mais agudo da pandemia.

Mazzoni tem mais de 20 anos de atuação na Usiminas

AUsiminas anunciou nesta quinta-feira (15), o nome do engenheiro mecânico Fernando Mazzoni para assumir a liderança das operações da Usiminas Mecânica. A companhia havia anunciado no último mês de junho uma reestruturação das operações de sua subsidiária, que irá manter apenas as atividades relacionadas à prestação de serviços para a Usiminas e suas controladas.

Com mais de 20 anos de atuação na Usiminas, especialmente nas áreas de manutenção e de laminação a quente, Mazzoni assume agora a Gerência-Geral da Usiminas Mecânica com o desafio de aumentar a sinergia com as empresas Usiminas, priorizando serviços de montagem e manutenção.
