São muitas narrativas. Estão prontinhas para enganar principalmente os leitores de manchetes. Mentiras completas e meias verdades que arrastam os desavisados, desatentos e desinformados e estimulam os já mal-intencionados. Há uma turma que se especializou nisso, em tentativas de assassinato de reputação. Sua falta de caráter, sua leviandade, desonestidade, seu mau-caratismo não têm limites.

Grande parte da imprensa, infelizmente, está nessa, como cúmplice até de senadores da República, de juízes da suprema corte, de uma oposição destrutiva, até de parlamentar que se diz governista. Não se constrange com a inconsistência, com linhas tortas que não estão nem aí para a realidade, por falas que não resistiriam a duas ou três perguntas que um bando não quer fazer e tenta impedir que se façam.

Há uma turma que se especializou nisso, em tentativas de assassinato de reputação. Sua falta de caráter, sua leviandade, desonestidade, seu mau-caratismo não têm limites

Quem pode perguntar? De quem desejam “respostas”? É sério que acham normal a tentativa de impor narrativas contra aqueles que definem como seus inimigos? Políticos, jornalistas, médicos, cientistas, empresários… Não é como nas guerras, que têm regras. Está valendo tudo. E eu pergunto: é assim que vamos estabelecer a moralidade pública, a ética?

Quem somos nós, afinal? Quais são os critérios, os parâmetros, os referenciais, as leis, os códigos, as regras que usamos para decidir o que é legal e moral, ou ilegal e imoral? O que está atrelado ao bem, o que está atrelado ao mal? Quem tem o direito de definir isso? Quanta manipulação, quantas interpretações equivocadas, grosseiras, maldosas serão permitidas, em doses de veneno distribuídas diariamente, a todo instante?

Há falsas promessas de salvação e segurança. E toda indecência e todo indecente devem ser rechaçados. Chega de narrativas! Não podemos aceitar passivamente a condenação a um mundo de enganações e mentiras.


Longe da verdade
Não importa quem seja, em que área profissional atue, toda pessoa deveria ter algumas características imprescindíveis a qualquer jornalista. Precisamos ser, todos nós, desconfiados, curiosos. Nunca houve, aliás, e agora está muito claro, os detentores da verdade. Há os que se vendem assim, com arrogância e prepotência. É preciso questioná-los, apurar profundamente tudo o que propalam.

Deixo aqui uma pergunta final, fazendo uma analogia com um dos esportes que pratico: o boxe. Se você entrasse num ringue como deve ser, calçando luvas, e visse no outro canto o seu adversário usando soco-inglês nas duas mãos e tendo uma faca na cintura, o que faria? Sairia do ringue e voltaria a ele também portando armas? Ou faria de tudo para convencer seu oponente a jogar dentro das regras? Eu não vou tirar minhas luvas.
