A fotografia que ilustra este artigo registra um crime contra a civilização ocidental: a destruição deliberada de uma obra de Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), o maior artista do século 20. O crime, cometido no último dia 29 de junho, também foi registrado no vídeo abaixo, postado na conta do Twitter do projeto chamado, acreditem, “The Burned Picasso” (”O Picasso queimado”), criado por um coletivo de “artistas” americanos.
Pois bem, o tal coletivo faz uma “vaquinha” para comprar a obra “Fumeur V” em um leilão da Christie’s realizado em abril, em Londres. Pagaram 15 mil libras esterlinas (cerca de R$ 106.000,00): a gravura é uma obra menor do artista, mas ainda assim raríssima, assinada a lápis, e faz (fazia) parte de uma série de 13 desenhos produzidos com a técnica aquatint durante a temporada que Picasso passou em Mougins, no verão de 1964.
Cheguei a pensar que fosse pegadinha, mas não. A obra foi realmente queimada: daquele exemplar da gravura, assinada a mão por Picasso, restou apenas um NFT ( Token Não-Fungível), que, vejam só, está sendo leiloado. O vencedor do leilão será o “proprietário” do NFT – ou seja, proprietário de coisa nenhuma, já que reproduções digitais da obra existem às pencas – e receberá as cinzas do desenho destruído. Aliás, outro token, com a imagem da obra queimada, também está sendo leiloado.

Ainda segundo o tal coletivo, o desenho “Fumeur V” está agora “eternamente preservado” no formato digital. Ainda tiveram a coragem de escrever: “Vivo para sempre no blockchain!”
Mas não, a obra não está preservada nem viva. A obra foi destruída, está morta para sempre: daquele exemplar assinado da gravura, o que existe agora é uma reprodução imaterial, abstrata, sem a aura do objeto único original criado por Picasso. Isso é óbvio para qualquer pessoa, mesmo para quem não leu o famoso ensaio de Walter Benjamin “A obra de arte na época da reprodutibilidade técnica”, que discorre sobre o tema.
O coletivo divulgou o seguinte texto, de estilo tipicamente lacrador: “”Que queimar está relacionado à censura ao longo da História, não pode ser negado. Mas queimar e censura estão meramente correlacionados aqui. Queimar não é necessariamente censurar. Pedimos que você deixe de lado essa relação como uma ambiguidade semântica para entender um tipo diferente de fenômeno que ocorre no espaço do blockchain, onde queimar pode significar mais do que destruição – pode significar destruição criativa”.
Isso não pode ser apenas burrice, nem mesmo apenas marketing. Algo mais grave está acontecendo no mundo: um impulso de destruir tudo aquilo que tinha valor na cultura ocidental até um passado recente: livros, filmes, obras de arte, até igrejas. Artistas geniais estão sendo cancelados, escritores que fazem parte do cânone ocidental estão sendo censurados, cineastas de referência estão sendo linchados em público.
Esse impulso de destruição é movido pelo ódio. Não o ódio contra o capital, porque ele não se volta contra o mercado nem contra os antigos inimigos da esquerda: é um ódio igualitarista voltado contra a beleza, contra o sagrado, contra o mérito, contra a verdade óbvia de que as pessoas são desigualmente dotadas de inteligência e talento, em suma, contra qualquer ideia de que existe algo superior ao alcance das pessoas medíocres e imbecis que estão dominando o mundo.
Uma revolução está em curso no planeta: a revolução dos idiotas. Ela está sendo comandada por pessoas em brilho nem talento, mas que descobriram o poder da manada potencializado pelas redes sociais. Seu único prazer é apontar o dedo, sabotar e destruir, porque este é o único sentido que encontraram para suas vidas inúteis.
Nelson Rodrigues foi profético quando disse: “Os idotas vão tomar conta do mundo, não pela capacidade, mas pela quantidade: eles são muitos”. Chegamos neste ponto: gente semianalfabeta, incapaz de interpretar texto, passou a ter o poder de se unir para perseguir e esfolar artistas brilhantes (e adversários ideológicos). Nada de bom pode vir daí.
Fazer-se de vítima virou um grande negócio, apoiar quem se faz de vítima também. Aliás, o que mais tem hoje são ricos e famosos lacrando na internet e desfrutando com a consciência limpinha os privilégios das elites, no conforto de apartamentos e luxo em bairros nobres, ou de hotéis em balneários franceses.
Os idiotas já estão se sentindo à vontade para queimar uma obra de Picasso e postar no Youtube Se deixarem, em breve essa gente estará incendiando a Mona Lisa e demolindo a marretadas o David de Michelangelo – e divulgando os vídeos nas redes sociais. É bom começarmos a reagir, antes que seja tarde.
