O mercado de café, um dos principais produtos de exportação do Brasil, deve sofrer inflação daqui até o fim do ano. A expectativa para este 2021 era de baixa na produção, seguindo o ciclo histórico de alternância de boas e fracas colheitas. Mas a forte seca seguida das geadas – principalmente nas montanhas das regiões Sudeste e Sul – destruiu muitas lavouras. O indicativo de quebra no setor será maior do que os 20% esperados nas plantações do país.  A saca de café “bica corrida” de 60 kg já ultrapassa o valor de R$ 1 mil, enquanto o preço era de R$ 700 ano passado.

Ponto positivo
Embora o Recife enfrente problemas com centenas de mendigos no centro antigo, o desempenho do prefeito João Campos em vacinar os recifenses contra o Covid-19 ganha destaque. As vacinações são agendadas a cada 5 minutos por pacientes e não há filas de espera. Hoje, pessoas com 34 anos ou mais já podem tomar a primeira dose.

Esperança
A Anvisa ampliou a bula do antirretroviral Tivicay (dolutegravir 50 mg) para crianças acima de 6 anos, com peso superior a 20kg, portadoras de HIV. Anteriormente, o medicamento era indicado apenas para portadoras do vírus acima de 12 anos (com peso superior a 40kg).

Águas calientes
A Usina Binacional de Itaipu, que pretende zerar a dívida decana (e contratual) com o governo do Paraguai em breve, agora se vê na parede por uma cobrança de US$ 4 bilhões de custo adicional pelo governo do país vizinho.
