Derrota em primárias escancarou conflito interno entre Cristina Kirchner e Alberto Fernández.| Foto: EFE/Esteban Collazo
A derrota da esquerda nas primárias argentinas colocou o governo em modo autofágico nos últimos dias. A lista de pré-candidatos da coalizão governista Frente de Todos foi derrotada pela lista do Juntos por el Cambio, grupo oposicionista liderado pelo ex-presidente Mauricio Macri, em três quartos das províncias argentinas, incluindo locais tradicionalmente fiéis ao kirchnerismo, como a província de Buenos Aires. Nas primárias, os argentinos vão às urnas para decidir quem poderá sair candidato nas eleições parlamentares de novembro, quando estarão em disputa quase metade das cadeiras da Câmara dos Deputados e um terço das cadeiras no Senado. Uma derrota em novembro pode complicar a vida do presidente Alberto Fernández ao menos na Câmara, hoje dividida quase ao meio entre governo e oposição – no Senado, o governo tem maioria mais tranquila.
Comentando a derrota, Fernández disse ter “cometido erros”, prometeu mudança de rota e falou no “veredito” manifestado pelo povo argentino. Farejando a fraqueza, a vice-presidente Cristina Kirchner partiu para o ataque, com um pedido de demissão coletiva de ao menos 11 ministros ou altos funcionários de governo mais ligados a ela que ao presidente Fernández. O objetivo da manobra é enquadrar o presidente, conseguir a saída de ministros mais alinhados a Fernández e cuja gestão não estava agradando a vice (especialmente o chefe de gabinete, Santiago Cafiero), e levar o governo mais para a esquerda. E, neste processo, a vice-presidente (que já ocupou a Casa Rosada de 2007 a 2015) e seus aliados vêm fazendo questão de dizer quem realmente manda.
Com dois anos de atraso, boa parte dos argentinos percebeu que fora péssima ideia entregar novamente o comando do país àqueles que o haviam destruído anos antes
Na quinta-feira, um áudio atribuído a uma deputada kirchnerista não poupa insultos ao presidente, chamando-o de “doente” e “usurpador” e afirmando que “a dona dos votos, da legitimidade, do apoio popular e da base de apoio deste governo e de quem o colocou lá é Cristina”. E, para que não ficasse dúvida alguma a esse respeito, a própria vice lembrou no Twitter que fora dela a sugestão para que Fernández encabeçasse a chapa peronista, tendo-a como vice – o que ela convenientemente omitiu foi que o principal motivo para que ela mesma não tentasse novamente a presidência era a sua alta rejeição, após o desastre econômico que promovera quando no comando do país.
Ainda no Twitter, a vice-presidente pediu a Fernández que “honre a vontade do povo argentino”. Mas há uma incompatibilidade enorme entre o que Cristina Kirchner pretende e a “vontade do povo argentino”, pois está claro que nas primárias o eleitor pediu menos, e não mais esquerdismo. Com dois anos de atraso, boa parte dos argentinos percebeu que fora péssima ideia entregar novamente o comando do país àqueles que o haviam destruído anos antes. O país convive com inflação na casa dos 50% anuais, desemprego em alta e uma gestão pobre da pandemia de Covid-19. Apesar dos intermináveis lockdowns, que ajudaram a devastar a economia, a Argentina tem mais casos de Covid por milhão de habitantes que o Brasil, e desde maio de 2021 também registra média de mortes diárias por milhão de habitantes maior que a brasileira.
Um sucesso do Juntos por el Cambio alimenta as chances de Macri, que já deixou a entender que pretende disputar a Casa Rosada em 2023. É bem verdade que ele não chega a ser uma alternativa extremamente animadora, pois foi bastante tímido quando teve a chance de realizar reformas para desfazer o desastre kirchnerista. Não fez um ajuste fiscal digno do nome, não privatizou, fez muitas concessões ao funcionalismo e acabou terminando o mandato com tabelamento de preços. Ainda assim, ele e seu grupo parecem ser hoje o mais próximo que a Argentina tem de uma plataforma economicamente liberal; caso recuperem o poder, precisarão mostrar que aprenderam com os erros de 2015 a 2019 e fazer muito mais para tirar o país do atoleiro e da prisão mental do populismo argentino.
Pressionado pela fome de poder de sua vice à esquerda e pelo recente sucesso eleitoral da centro-direita, Fernández tem agora de decidir para onde leva seu governo. A semana que começou com a renúncia coletiva termina sem sinal do que ele fará – se entregará a Cristina Kirchner as cabeças pedidas por seu grupo; se aceitará os pedidos de demissão; e, neste caso, que perfil buscará para preencher as vagas abertas. Em outras palavras, se assumirá ou renegará o papel de fantoche da vice que tantos, com preocupação, lhe atribuíram quando ele aceitou a sugestão de concorrer em 2019.
