Presidente do Senado vai discutir com Paulo Guedes aumento de preços do comércio
População não pode ficar refém de ‘oportunistas’ altas, como de alimentos e material de construção, disse Rodrigo Pacheco

BRASÍLIA – Após apoiar a aprovação da PEC do auxílio, o presidente do Senado, Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM-MG), cobrou do ministro da Economia, Paulo Guedes, medidas concretas para os brasileiros não ficarem reféns de “oportunistas” altas de preços, como de alimentos e material de construção.
Pacheco vai se reunir com Guedes para discutir o avanço dos preços. Guedes e o presidente do Banco Central, Roberto Campos Neto, deverão ser convidados para uma videoconferência para falar sobre o assunto na Comissão de Assuntos Econômicos (CAE) do Senado.
A pressão do presidente do Senado ocorreu ontem, na véspera da reunião do Comitê de Política Monetária do Banco Central (BC), que deve aprovar amanhã uma alta da taxa Selic, os juros básicos da economia, para enfrentar a aceleração da inflação no Brasil.
Após a sua eleição para a presidência do Senado, Pacheco também puxou a pressão pela aprovação do auxílio emergencial rapidamente. Mas também ajudou Guedes ao fechar um acordo para que o benefício fosse incluído numa PEC com medidas fiscais.
O presidente do Senado quer também que a CAE se reúna rapidamente para discutir o problema, inclusive a falta de insumos no mercado que ameaçam a produção e encarecem os preços dos produtos no País.
O presidente da CAE, senador Otto Alencar (PSD-BA), informou que vai discutir com Pacheco como fazer esse debate. Ao Estadão, Alencar informou que deve organizar a videoconferência, mas argumentou que o problema da alta de preços depende da política pública do Executivo e que está relacionado, sobretudo, à elevação do dólar ante o real. “Por que o dólar está subindo? Um dos componentes é a insegurança jurídica, as crises políticas recorrentes, a maioria delas gestadas dentro do Palácio do Planalto”, criticou o senador baiano.
O presidente da CAE chamou a atenção para o problema também de falta de reposição de peças de máquinas, que deve afetar a colheita agrícola e a produção nacional. Esse é outro ponto que deverá ser debatido com Guedes. “Estão com dificuldade para repor as peças para a colheita que será muito boa”, disse, reconhecendo a dificuldade de fazer uma audiência pública virtual.
A alta dos preços tem incomodado o mundo político e sido alvo de comentários dos parlamentares em sessões. Na semana passada, ao falar sobre o aumento de preços de insumos da construção civil, Pacheco comentou sobre a necessidade de providências “mais radicais” serem tomadas em relação a esses aumentos, especialmente de insumos na construção. Não deu detalhes.
