O Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) decidiu, por 8 votos a 3, anular as condenações impostas ao ex-presidente Lula da Silva na esteira das investigações da Operação Lava Jato. Com isso, o petista está apto a disputar as eleições presidenciais de 2022.
Nada disso significa, é claro, que Lula da Silva seja inocente das acusações que o levaram à condenação por corrupção. O Supremo apenas entendeu que a Justiça Federal de Curitiba, que condenou o ex-presidente, não era o foro competente para julgá-lo.
No entanto, a verdade dos fatos, em se tratando de Lula da Silva, é irrelevante: o demiurgo de Garanhuns e seus devotos já estão tratando a “decisão histórica” do Supremo, nas palavras do advogado do petista, como uma prova cabal não só da inocência do ex-presidente, mas da “perseguição política” que ele sofreu.
Peritos em imposturas, os petistas nem precisavam de ajuda alheia para alimentar essa narrativa, mas mesmo assim o ministro Ricardo Lewandowski, do Supremo, decidiu dar sua colaboração. O magistrado – que entrou no STF pelas mãos do então presidente Lula da Silva – disse que “a história do Brasil poderia ter sido diferente” se a Corte tivesse julgado o caso de Lula como se ele fosse um réu qualquer. Ou seja, o ministro sugeriu que os votos que ajudaram a condenar Lula foram enviesados, e “isso custou ao ex-presidente 580 dias de prisão e causou a impossibilidade de se candidatar a presidente da República”.
Antes de ser um arroubo inconsequente, essa declaração reflete o espírito que certamente norteará a mais que provável candidatura de Lula da Silva a presidente. Ele se apresentará como vítima de uma formidável perseguição das “elites” – rótulo usado pelos petistas para nomear todos os que não votam no PT nem adoram Lula.
Como vítima de uma injustiça – que, repita-se, só existe na fabulação petista –, Lula pode se apresentar como alguém moralmente superior, condição em que tudo o que diz ou faz se torna incontestável. Na semântica autoritária, o petista não é apenas inocente: é o mártir sacrificado no altar do reacionarismo e que agora renasce para “consertar o Brasil”, em suas próprias palavras.
Portanto, se a hipótese da candidatura de Lula se confirmar, como deve acontecer, teremos em 2022 uma disputa entre dois candidatos – o petista e o presidente Jair Bolsonaro – que se apresentam como vítimas: o primeiro, das “elites”; o segundo, dos “inimigos do Brasil”. Nesse cenário, a política partidária institucionalizada não tem lugar, e o debate racional para articular saídas para a imensa crise nacional corre o risco de ser interditado pela gritaria populista. E os cidadãos de bem deste país serão, mais uma vez, as verdadeiras vítimas, como sempre, da mediocridade, da ignorância e da má-fé.
De certa forma, os muitos excessos do lavajatismo não apenas alimentaram o clima que viabilizou a vitória de Bolsonaro em 2018, como, agora, permitiram que Lula da Silva revigorasse sua força eleitoral e política, que vinha declinando depois de tantos anos de corrupção e desastre econômico. E esse Lula tonificado aparece como caudilho a reivindicar reparação histórica, tal como exposto no voto do ministro Lewandowski. Quem haveria de contrariar os devaneios cesaristas de um governante surgido dessa injunção?
A renovada força eleitoral de Lula deriva também do fato de que, imersos no pesadelo do governo de Jair Bolsonaro, muitos brasileiros tendem a esquecer a tenebrosa passagem do lulopetismo pelo poder, ou então a considerar como aceitáveis os desmandos do PT se comparados ao descalabro bolsonarista. Por isso, nunca é demais advertir que a recidiva costuma ser muito pior do que a doença – que, recorde-se, consumiu o País em escândalos e, graças à natureza demagógica do lulopetismo, atrasou dramaticamente o desenvolvimento nacional.
Um aperitivo do que está por vir foi dado numa entrevista que Lula da Silva deu ao jornal espanhol El País: segundo o chefão petista, seu tempo no governo “foi o melhor momento da América Latina desde Colombo”.
Fosse na época em que mandava e desmandava, Lula da Silva teria dito que seu tempo foi o melhor desde a Criação. Mas o demiurgo de Garanhuns está mais modesto.
