Quando a narrativa triunfa sobre a realidade

Um levantamento feito pelo portal Poder360 e publicado ontem demonstra que o Governo Federal já gastou R$ 557 bilhões em ações de resposta à pandemia de Covid-19. O valor representa 7,5% do PIB. Poucos governos no mundo gastaram tanto. Só de auxílio emergencial foram R$ 311 bilhões. Mais de R$ 9 bilhões já foram gastos na aquisição de vacinas. Entre os países da América Latina, o Brasil é um dos que mais vacinaram, tanto em números absolutos (primeiro lugar disparado) quanto em porcentagem da população (só ficando atrás do Chile e do Uruguai).

Nada disso importa. Na cabeça das pessoas que se aglomeraram ontem nas ruas – porque, como se sabe, o vírus não circula em aglomerações “do bem” – o Governo não só não comprou nenhuma vacina nem gastou um centavo sequer para combater a pandemia como também torce para que os pobres morram de Covid-19, especialmente se pertencerem a alguma minoria. É o triunfo da narrativa sobre a realidade.

Há no ar uma desalentadora mistura da má-fé de poucos com a ingenuidade de muitos. É uma combinação perigosa. Porque a intenção não é contribuir para resolver nada, apenas sabotar e destruir. Mas muita gente cai na conversa. Nada de bom pode vir daí.

Outros dois episódios recentes mostram que as milícias da PPV (“Performance Pública da Virtude”) estão alvoroçadas, babando de ódio em busca de pretextos para derrubar o governo genocida.

O primeiro foi uma declaração de Paulo Guedes: ele cometeu o pecado de sugerir que o aproveitamento da comida que é desperdiçada nos restaurantes acabaria com a fome no Brasil. Um escândalo! As manchetes foram: “Guedes propõe alimentar pobres com restos de comida de ricos”; “Contra a fome, Guedes defende dar resto de comida aos pobres”; “Guedes faz política higienista ao defender resto de comida para os pobres”; etc.

Ninguém fez o mínimo esforço para entender que o ministro se referia ao que se chama de “sobra limpa”, não ao resto raspado de pratos. Na verdade, entenderam sim, mas fizeram de conta que não. Guedes precisou se justificar nas redes sociais:

“Muito desconhecimento quanto a um conceito básico de segurança alimentar. Apenas em um contexto de total polarização política, expressar ideias de combate ao desperdício e auxílio aos mais necessitados é motivo de ironia na imprensa e entre políticos, os quais deveriam discutir de forma propositiva saídas para este momento triste da história mundial. Num momento em que o mundo passa por obstáculo sanitário, seria a hora das pessoas se unirem para encontrar soluções sustentáveis, produtivas e humanas. Eu me referi à ‘sobra limpa’ que significa, justamente, não os restos no prato, mas panelas de alimentos preparados e não consumidas de arroz, feijão, frango, por exemplo, que em condições de higiene, temperatura e condicionamento, possam manter a qualidade do alimento”, postou o ministro no Twitter.

Pois é. Mas isso acontece porque a preocupação não é com os pobres e necessitados, mas apenas em sabotar o Governo. Alguém duvida?

O segundo episódio revelador da sanha golpista foi um vídeo no qual Bolsonaro elogia o trabalho dos policiais na perseguição ao serial killer Lázaro Barbosa. O presidente declarou: “Aos policiais que estão na captura do marginal Lázaro, que tem levado terror ao entorno de Brasília, nós sabemos que esse bandido tem uma certa prática de andar na mata sem deixar vestígios, mas sabemos também que nossos policiais, além da coragem, são tenazes e não descansarão enquanto não cumprir essa missão. Tenho certeza que, brevemente, o Lázaro estará, no mínimo, atrás das grades. Um grande abraço.”

Pronto. Outro escândalo. Algumas manchetes foram: “Bolsonaro chama Lázaro de ‘marginal’ e manda mensagem de apoio a policiais”; “Bolsonaro deseja sorte a policiais do caso Lázaro, mas não comenta 500 mil mortes”. Porque, como se sabe, não se pode chamar serial killer de marginal, porque isso pode ferir a sensibilidade de um ser humano que só sai matando por aí porque não recebeu afeto dos pais (“O pequeno Lázaro foi criado pela avó”, um jornalista já escreveu) e é uma vítima da sociedade. Lázaro é rebelde porque a vida quis assim, porque nunca o trataram com amor. É um ser humano que merece ser ressocializado e acolhido, não perseguido e preso por policiais truculentos.

Não sei não. Tenho a impressão de que a maioria dos brasileiros comuns está do lado dos policiais, não dos bandidos – e deseja que seja mesmo questão de tempo para o serial killer estar, no mínimo, atrás das grades. Mas, para a turma “do bem”, a polícia está sempre do lado errado, e todo criminoso é uma vítima. Anotem: logo haverá gente querendo transformar Lázaro Barbosa em vítima e herói. Já está acontecendo.
