Os profissionais com mais de 50 anos se dizem aptos para trabalhar em home office ou no modelo híbrido, que mescla trabalho presencial com dias de atividades em casa. Porém, o uso de tecnologias e aplicativos de gestão, indispensáveis para esses cenários, ainda é um desafio para a maioria deles. É o que mostra uma pesquisa da consultoria Maturi em parceria com a NOZ Pesquisa e Inteligência, que ouviu 1.883 pessoas entre 23 de junho e 19 de julho.
O levantamento buscou entender os novos hábitos e a percepção do público maduro (como são chamados os profissionais 50+) sobre os efeitos da pandemia na realidade deles. Enquanto 80% dos entrevistados sentem-se preparados ou extremamente preparados para trabalhar exclusiva ou parcialmente em casa, 58% acredita estar pouco ou nada preparado para utilizar tecnologia e aplicativos de gestão. Outros 47% consideram que têm pouca destreza para lidar com ferramentas de colaboração online.
Um dado positivo é que 84% veem-se aptos a uma jornada flexível com mais autonomia, mas vale destacar que essa percepção é melhor entre aqueles com ensino superior (82%) e pós-graduação (90%). Além disso, os grupos que se dizem mais preparados para manejar recursos virtuais são aqueles que atuam em empresas, em regime CLT ou como pessoa jurídica, o que implica mais oportunidade de acesso a essas tecnologias.
Vale destacar também que 91% dos profissionais maduros que já atuavam em casa antes da pandemia sentem-se mais preparados para esse modelo, enquanto o porcentual é de 60% entre os que não trabalharam no home office durante o período. Assim, lidar bem ou não com esses novos formatos de trabalho e com ferramentas digitais pode ter mais a ver com o hábito do que com a idade.
“Antes, esse público buscava um formato de trabalho mais tradicional porque era ao que estava acostumado. A partir do momento que a pandemia muda essa dinâmica, eles começam a se interessar e ver que tem muita oportunidade de se adaptarem a esse formato. Vimos muita gente se capacitando para isso e tem gente já preparada e aberta a esse modelo de jornada flexível, trabalhando por projeto como consultor. Já as pessoas com dificuldade de lidar com ferramentas mais avançadas estão buscando capacitação”, analisa Mórris Litvak, CEO e fundador da Maturi.
De acordo com a pesquisa, entre os que tem alguma ocupação, a maior parte (18%) atua como consultor, autônomo ou freelancer, reforçando que o mercado de trabalho para os 50+ está além do vínculo CLT. Isso sugere também o quanto os maduros estão dispostos a exercer algum tipo de atividade, porque 70% se diz apto a usar profissionalmente as redes sociais. Além disso, 80% buscou aperfeiçoamento em cursos online durante a pandemia, dos quais 53% investiu financeiramente em pelo menos um deles.
Ficar parado, aproveitando a aposentadoria, já não é opção para a maioria desses profissionais. “Hoje, as pessoas entendem que vão viver muito e pensar em aproveitar a aposentadoria é perto dos 80 anos e com dinheiro sobrando, uma realidade de parcela mínima da sociedade. A renda cai quando sai do mundo corporativo, então até buscar novos caminhos, muita gente vai precisar se manter por mais tempo”, diz o especialista em longevidade. Com as reformas previdenciárias, a tendência é que a aposentadoria fique cada vez mais longe e com menor valor, o que torna vital pensar em plano B.
Dificuldades dos profissionais maduros
O impacto da pandemia é sentida principalmente entre aqueles que estão sem ocupação, mas buscam recolocação, uma vez que 53% deles perderam o emprego durante a pandemia. Soma-se a isso o preconceito etário na vida profissional, que é considerado difícil e desafiador, ou muito, para 65% dos entrevistados na pesquisa.

Sobre oportunidades profissionais após o início da vacinação, 42% diz que nada mudou, 21% afirma que piorou e tem notado menos oportunidades, enquanto 32% considera que houve pequena melhora. O cenário instável trazido pela crise também pode ter intensificado as dificuldades que os maduros já enfrentavam antes: depois de mais de um ano, os impactos na vida financeira são o segundo maior desafio, apontado por 63% deles.
“A gente vê um preconceito grande que se acentuou na pandemia, mas tem percebido maior interesse das empresas sobre o assunto. Não necessariamente contratar, mas interesse sobre diversidade etária. Não vai ter emprego para todos, mas a gente conscientiza as empresas e busca influenciar políticas públicas. Mas as pessoas precisam se preparar e capacitar cada vez mais para uma vida de trabalho longeva e atônoma”, orienta o CEO da Maturi.
Dicas para empresas e profissionais 50+
Litvak destaca que estar apto ou não a lidar com as novas tecnologias e transformações do mercado de trabalho tem mais a ver com perfil pessoal do que com a idade. “Tem gente que, sendo mais novo, não vai atrás, então idade não pode ser mais fator paras pessoas pensarem no que o profissional é capaz ou não.”
Confira as dicas do especialista em longevidade para empresas e profissionais:
- Para empresas: é preciso olhar além da questão de atualização tecnológica e entender que se, eventualmente, esse profissional não estiver atualizado com algum tipo de ferramenta, ele pode aprender a mexer. É preciso olhar também para as competências comportamentais, experiência, abertura ao novo. “A gente teve empresas que contrataram um grupo de pessoas pela Maturi e fizeram treinamento específico de ferramentas. Coisas mais técnicas, as pessoas aprendem conforme a necessidade da empresa”, diz.
- Para profissionais com ocupação: é preciso buscar se desenvolver continuamente, praticar o lifelong learning. Nesse caso, as empresas também podem colaborar, incluindo os funcionários maduros nos programas de desenvolvimento profissional. “A gente sabe que, a partir de certa idade, as pessoas não são mais convidadas a participarem de treinamento. É preciso entender que, por mais que a pessoa tenha experiência, ela pode continuar aprendendo.”
- Para quem busca recolocação: “É muito importante ter iniciativa de se capacitar, participar de ações e comunidades, eventos, fazer cursos e se conectar com outras pessoas, fazer networking e se inspirar no que os outros estão fazendo”, sugere Litvak. O especialista diz que é preciso estar aberto ao novo, ter humildade para reconhecer que há sempre coisas novas para aprender e se adaptar.
- Para quem quer empreender: ter o próprio negócio com mais de 50 anos de idade é tão desafiador quanto para um jovem. “Mas o jovem tem menos medo”, pontua Litvak. “Então, é não ter receio disso, tirar a ideia de que empreender não é para mim. Nesse formato, é bem mais possível conseguir renda do que buscar emprego formal”, comenta. Nesse caso, estar atento e capacitado em ferramentas tecnológicas e usar profissionalmente as redes sociais é igualmente importante.
