BRASÍLIA – O aumento na conta de luz tem pesado no orçamento das famílias e é um dos fatores que pressionam a inflação, mas o ministro da Economia, Paulo Guedes, não vê problemas. “Qual o problema agora que a energia vai ficar um pouco mais cara porque choveu menos?”, perguntou Guedes nesta quarta-feira, 25. “Isso vai causar perturbação, empurra a inflação um pouco para cima, BC tem que correr um pouco mais atrás da inflação”, afirmou no lançamento da Frente Parlamentar do Empreendedorismo.
Guedes disse que a economia brasileira está “vindo com toda a força” após a crise causada pela pandemia da covid-19, mas admitiu que “há, sim, nuvens no horizonte”. “Temos a crise hídrica forte pela frente, mas a economia brasileira está furando as ondas”, disse.
A crise hídrica levou o governo a anunciar nesta quarta-feira medidas para redução do consumo de energia para toda a administração pública federal. Decreto presidencial editado hoje determina a redução do consumo de eletricidade desses órgãos entre 10% e 20% em relação ao consumo do mês nos anos de 2018 e 2019, ou seja, antes do período pré-pandemia.
Pressionada pelo aumento da conta de luz, a inflação acumulada em 12 meses chegou à marca de dois dígitos em quatro capitais do País na prévia de agosto: Porto Alegre (10,37%), Goiânia (10,67%), Fortaleza (11,37%) e Curitiba (11,43%). Os dados foram divulgados pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) nesta quarta-feira, 25.
A inflação oficial deve fechar este ano acima de 7%, segundo projeções de uma centena de economistas ouvidos pelo Banco Central no boletim Focus. O próprio BC estima que o índice deve ficar em 6,5% – a meta que teria que ser perseguida é de 3,75%.
Além da taxa extra paga desde julho na conta de luz, as faturas aumentaram, em média, 7% neste ano e, para 2022, a previsão é que o reajuste médio seja de quase 17%, como mostrou o Estadão.
“O problema agora é que está tendo uma exacerbação por que anteciparam as eleições? Tudo bem, vamos tapar o ouvido, vamos atravessar. Vai ser uma gritaria danada, mas vamos chegar lá, vamos ter as eleições. Vai acontecer tudo que tem para acontecer”, disse o ministro. “Se no ano passado, que era o caos, nós nos organizamos e atravessamos, por que vamos ter medo agora?”.
Segundo ele, o “abismo fiscal que ameaçava o Brasil foi controlado”, por causa de reformas, entre elas a da Previdência. Apesar da covid-19, a economia brasileira “se abre de novo”, “temos superávit comercial e corrente de comércio recordes”, acrescentou o ministro.
Arrecadação forte
Guedes destacou também o bom desempenho da arrecadação de impostos, e previu que “se a economia brasileira crescer 5,5% neste ano, com a arrecadação vindo forte, é possível o País ter superávit em 2022”.
“A economia está bombando e continua a narrativa de que o governo não faz nada”, afirmou o ministro. Ele criticou o que chamou de visões negacionistas e agradeceu o empenho do Congresso na aprovação das reformas e de medidas encaminhadas pelo governo. Guedes destacou ainda a atuação do presidente da Câmara, Arthur Lira (Progressistas-AL), que, segundo ele, é uma “liderança imprescindível”.
Segundo Guedes, os críticos já transferiram o colapso para 2022, ao perceberem que a economia voltou a crescer. “Mas vamos continuar crescendo”, disse.
