A malha ferroviária de Minas Gerais deve ser expandida substancialmente nos próximos anos, caso o Governo Federal conceda autorização para os investidores privados que manifestaram interesse em construir e operar novos ramais no país.
Até o momento, quatro dos 14 pedido feitos ao Ministério da Infraestrutura (MInfra) para implantação de novos trechos a partir do mecanismo da autorização ferroviária, criado pela Medida Provisória nº 1.605/2021, passam por território mineiro. Os empreendimentos impactam diretamente 33 municípios no estado e somam R$ 35,2 bilhões. https://d-18777409784028025179.ampproject.net/2109102127000/frame.html
Todos os pedidos apresentados ao MInfra desde 2 de setembro estão em análise: eles representam R$ 80,5 bilhões em investimentos e 5.360 km de novos trilhos, cortando 12 unidades da Federação. As solicitações são avaliadas por equipe da Secretaria Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (SNTT).
Minas tem uma das melhores infraestruturas ferroviárias do país, sendo servida pelas ferrovias Vitória-Minas (EFVM), Centro-Atlântica (FCA), Norte-Sul (FNS), Malha Regional Sudeste (MRS) e Rumo Malha Central (RMC).
Ferrovia ligará Brasília a Barra de São Francisco (ES)
Agora, com a possibilidade de ampliação da malha via autorização ferroviária, e não apenas por concessão, novos empreendimentos miram o estado. A proposta mais recente, formalizada ao MInfra em 16 de setembro, é a de maior impacto para Minas Gerais.
Trata-se do projeto da Estrada de Ferro Juscelino Kubistchek (EFJK), apresentado pela empresa Petrocity Portos S.A. Com 1.108 km de extensão (o maior previsto até agora), a ferrovia ligará Brasília a Barra de São Francisco (ES), passando por Goiás e cruzando 34 localidades – incluindo nada menos do que 28 municípios mineiros.
Estão no traçado da ferrovia Arinos, Ataléia, Berilo, Buritizeiro, Chapada do Norte, Claro dos Poções, Cristália, Francisco Sá, Franciscópolis, Grão Mogol, Ibiaí, Itambacuri, Jequitaí, José Gonçalves de Minas, Lagoa dos Patos, Leme do Prado, Malacheta, Minas Novas, Montes Claros, Ponto Chique, Riachinho, Santa Fé de Minas, Setubinha, São João da Lagoa, São Romão, Teófilo Otoni, Unaí e Urucuia.
Com atuação no setor portuário, a companhia pretende investir R$ 13,5 bilhões na construção dos novos trilhos e mais R$ 700 milhões para manter, ao longo do percurso da EFJK, seis unidades de Transbordo e Armazenamento de Cargas (UTACs). Com isso, o investimento 100% privado chegará a R$ 14,22 bilhões.
Escoamento de carga no Norte e Noroeste mineiro
A empresa ressalta que o projeto vai assegurar o escoamento da carga produzida no Planalto Central e regiões Norte e Noroeste mineiro e capixaba pelos portos do Espírito Santo, especialmente no Terminal de Uso Privado (TUP) que a Petrocity vai operar no litoral de São Mateus (ES), na região de Urussuquara.
Segundo a Petrocity, além da conexão com o transporte portuário/cabotagem, a ferrovia garantirá uma “perfeita integração primária do Distrito Federal e dos estados de Goiás, Minas Gerais e Espírito Santo”.
O empreendimento, argumenta, dotará essas unidades da Federação com a estrutura necessária para o recebimento, armazenamento e movimentação de cargas, garantindo a segurança para futuros investimentos na região, hoje limitados por falta de uma logística de transporte confiável, “retendo assim, o aumento da produção brasileira e do nível de emprego”.
Linha passará por Conceição do Mato Dentro e Sete Lagoas
O segundo maior projeto em extensão, dos 14 protocolados no MInfra, também passa por Minas. A Macro Desenvolvimento Ltda quer construir e operar linha férrea com 610 quilômetros, ligando os municípios de Presidente Kennedy, no Espírito Santo, aos mineiros Conceição do Mato Dentro e Sete Lagoas. O investimento é de R$ 14 bilhões.
No dia 2, durante abertura no Palácio do Planalto do Setembro Ferroviário, mês dedicado pelo Governo Federal à expansão do transporte por trilhos no país, a VLI propôs ligação férrea entre Uberlândia e Chaveslândia (MG), com 235 quilômetros de extensão e investimento de R$ 2,7 bilhões. O segmento terá conexão coma Ferrovia Centro-Atlântica (FCA), a fim de facilitar o escoamento de basalto até as regiões produtoras do agronegócio e grãos para exportação.
Na mesma oportunidade, a própria Petrocity já tinha formalizado requerimento para construir e operar trecho de 420 quilômetros, entre São Mateus (ES) e Ipatinga (MG), no qual pretende investir R$ 5 bilhões. Trata-se de outra conexão ferroviária até o TUP que administrará no porto capixaba, permitindo o transporte de grãos e cargas gerais.
